Don’t you hate that feeling of being rushed? Like when you’re running late for a meeting, and suddenly there’s unexpected traffic. You finally show up, but you’re flustered, frazzled, and not quite your best self. Or maybe you’re in a heated conversation — a critical, crucial moment — and before you know it, you blurt out something you didn’t mean to say. Or you reply to an email too fast and instantly regret how you said it.
We’ve all been there.
That’s why today’s Front-Row Friday message is simple: Slow down. Because when you slow down, you increase your power and your presence.
Here are three quick ways to do just that:
- Leave early. Give yourself some margin so you can show up composed, credible, and confident — not chaotic and late.
- Count to five. In crucial conversations, take a beat. A simple pause can help you respond with intention instead of reacting with emotion.
- Sleep on it. If it’s an email or text that stirs something in you, and you’ve got the time, wait until tomorrow. Respond with clarity, not reactivity.
Slowing down doesn’t mean you’re falling behind. It means you’re choosing to show up in control — of your thoughts, your words, and your energy.
Front-Row Challenge: This week, practice one moment of intentional slowdown. Leave early. Count to five. Sleep on it. You’ll be amazed at how your calm presence speaks louder than any rushed response ever could.
Have a great Front-Row Friday — see you next time!
