If you are like me, you spend a little too much time in your head: analyzing, deciphering, worrying and maybe even second-guessing yourself. Too much of this time spent in your head is not good! So for today’s front-row Friday, I have a suggestion. Get out of your head and into your heart. Let me explain what I mean. Today I had the honor of speaking to an amazing group of meeting planners for the insurance and finance industry and their partners. After my session there was a ’networking with a cause’ luncheon. The meeting team had a beautiful display of faux flowers and all the fixings to make beautiful bouquets. At each table there were two vases ready to be filled. In addition to the vases there were cards, envelopes and pens. How fun was it to all talk at the table while we were creating bouquets and writing notes of encouragement to people we would never meet nor never know. Then after lunch, all the cards and vases filled with beautiful displays would be delivered to a local senior living facility. This warmed my heart! It was such a win-win-win scenario. We all had something in common to talk about at lunch, thinking how cool it was what we were doing. It was a win for the meeting planner of the event, knowing there was total engagement from their audience. And, the biggest win of all was knowing that some people who may have been overlooked or forgotten, would be getting flowers and cards from strangers.
So for today, get out of your head and into your heart. P.S. Speaking of heart and sending cards, please know Frenchie is appreciating all the cards that he receives each week letting him know he is not alone on his journey to rid his body of cancer. Thank you so much and enjoy today’s Front-Row Friday video!
