Do you know the difference between disappointment and discouragement? No surprise, there is a difference and it 100% depends on your outlook.
When you’re disappointed, you recognize things did not go your way. Someone or something let you down. Maybe the election didn’t go your way, the job prospect didn’t go your way, a loved one let you down. When you’re disappointed, you can acknowledge it and move one.
Regroup. Reenergize. Focus on solutions moving forward.
When you’re discouraged, you lack hope. When you lack hope, it’s easy to fall into darkness, sadness, even depression.
One way to NOT allow yourself to get discouraged is to ask ‘What is good about this situation?’ Keep asking yourself and you will find your way out of the darkness and into solutions. And, if you need help, reach out. For now, check out my video on the subject.
As always, I’ll see you in the front-row!
