How do you engage a de-motivated workforce?
In this day of quiet quitting and disengaged employees, it’s time to talk motivation. How do you motivate your workforce? As a business keynote speaker I get that question a lot.

This is the time of year when we are around new friends and old, family of origin and new family members. Not everyone should get the golden ticket to your front-row.
I know that this time of year can be very stressful. Can you feel a heightened sense of stress and anxiety this year? It can be very difficult to navigate those once-a-year holiday parties, or family get-togethers.
What is the story you tell yourself? How about the story you tell yourself before an important pitch for selling a product or service or idea? In today’s Front-Row Friday video,
How do you protect your front-row positive energy when you are around negative people? That was one of the questions I got from a couple of students after I spoke at High Point University today. My answer was “It depends on the relationship and it’s situational.” Here are three things I told them that might be helpful to you the next time you are around negative people.
If you wait until you are perfect before you write your first book, or offer a service, or ask for a promotion, you’ll never do it. In this front-row Friday video, I explain how you don’t have to wait until your perfect to put yourself out there. In fact, imperfection is quite appealing, so why not embrace it?
Do you get nervous when you’re about to deliver a speech or presentation of an idea, service or product? You’re not alone. Speaking in front of an audience is the number one fear people have.
Have you ever been intimidated by someone and that intimidation prevented you from connecting with them? When it comes to providing an exceptional customer experience, you may miss out on opportunities to serve because of intimidation.
The storms are happening in our lives! Whether it’s literally a storm of a hurricane touching down and completely displacing you and your family (I sincerely hope this is not the case), or the storms that you and I face in terms of the unexpected, unplanned events like a cancer diagnosis or a team member who decided unexpectedly to leave their job, it’s a lot. It’s a lot to handle for anyone.
What’s your story?
Your story is made up of:
1. Your past mistakes
2. Your unique experiences
3. Your past successes
Now is the perfect time to re-frame the story of who you are that may not serve you. For example, past mistakes don’t mean you are a mistake. Re-frame those situations as choices that you made that make you the strong resilient person that you are today.
