Don’t you just love the feeling of a fresh start? There’s something magical about the beginning of a new year—a blank canvas where you can create whatever you want. It’s 2025, and you have the power to make this year as incredible as you can dream.
Now, I know what you might be thinking: “Should I set New Year’s resolutions?” Some people love them; others avoid them like the plague. But instead of fretting over resolutions, I’ve got a different idea for you—one that feels more inspiring and less like a chore.
Revisit Your Bucket List
That’s right, this is the perfect time of year to pull out your bucket list—or create one from scratch. A bucket list isn’t about obligations or deadlines; it’s about dreaming big and envisioning the things you’d love to experience, achieve, or accomplish before your time is up.
There are no hard-and-fast rules for creating a bucket list, but I have two suggestions that have worked wonders for me:
1. Dream Without Limits
Write down everything you’ve ever wanted to do. No timeframes, no limits—just let your imagination run wild. Want to travel to Australia? Write it down. Dream of learning a new language or performing on stage? Add it to the list. This is your space to be outrageous, so don’t hold back.
2. Be Specific
When writing your bucket list, phrase your goals in a way that makes it easy to say, “Yes, I did it!” or “Not yet.” For instance, instead of saying, “I want to be healthier,” try something more concrete like, “I will work out three times a week on average for at least three weeks a month.” This way, by December 31, 2025, you can clearly see what you’ve achieved.
Your bucket list doesn’t have to be confined to 2025. Think big—plan for the next three, five, or even ten years. This is your vision, and no one else gets to tell you what should or shouldn’t be on your list. It’s entirely yours.
Reflect on how 2024 went for you. Personally, 2024 wasn’t my easiest year as I faced a significant loss in my life. But here’s the beauty of a clean slate: it allows us to turn the page and focus on creating something even better. For me, that’s an epic, joy-filled 2025.
Watch Your Front-Row Come Alive
Take a moment to think about what you want to create this year. Write down your dreams, make them specific, and then watch as opportunities as you see your “front-row” of life unfold.
Happy New Year! I can’t wait to hear what’s on your bucket list for 2025. Also, let me know what topics or ideas you’d love me to cover in my Front-Row Fridays this year—I’m here to serve and inspire you.
Here’s to an incredible year ahead!
