Are you near your family? I don’t appreciate how difficult it is to be separated from family until I join Yves in France where he gets to re-unite with his brother, sisters, cousins, and their kids. Now that Yves has been cleared of his cancer and cleared to travel, we continue on a tour of France visiting his family. Our delectable lunches and dinners have one thing in common, other than the magnificent cheese dish at every meal before dessert, and that is the sharing of memories and stories of the past. These stories are so rich – they are a way to connect and laugh and enjoy being present. I’m reminded that you never know when the last time you will see your family and friends so reach out and let people know you are thinking of them. Ask questions about their past, hold on to those stories that make family a family.
