Do you have the courage to live your dreams? The reason I ask is because several people told me they were inspired by the ‘courage’ I had to fulfill one of my items on my bucket list to take three weeks alone in Paris and take an immersion course. I asked, what does courage have to do with it? My friends told me that many people, including themselves, talk about dreams, write their bucket list out, post their vision board, but don’t have the courage to actually do something. Really? Well, now is the PERFECT time to muster up the courage to do something about it! Take action! It doesn’t have to be a huge action, just some action to move you closer to your dreams. Today a dear friend dropped everything to have coffee with me because I had an idea that I needed his help with. He reminded me about the importance of mantras. I said I have one: “I’m strong. I’m resilient. I make a difference in the world.” Good start, he said. But what if you actually wrote one down every day? Ahhhhh, I remember now. It was Dr. Denis Waitley who taught me “We move toward and become what’s upper most in our minds.” And, what a better way to act with courage than to write a mantra down every day, then take action. It worked for me in college. Watch today’s Front-Row Friday video to see what posters of words I had on my wall!
Have a great Front-Row Friday and remember the words from the father of a first round draft pick from the NFL ’Show up, use your head, and bring your heart.’ Definitely words to live by!
