Have you ever felt like you were swimming in molasses just to get things done? Have you ever lacked the energy to do even the basic functions of your day? I had a day like that yesterday and I vowed that today would be different. So, I did three very simple things today that you can easily do any time you are slipping into the balcony of your life.
- Write out a gratitude list of things you are grateful for today. Expand that list to the most basic of things. Go deeper with that list – there is more. Pretty soon your list is overwhelmingly positive with what’s right in the world.
- Reflect on how far you’ve come. Look at all the growth you’ve had over the last year or last decade. Be grateful that you aren’t still in that place anymore. If you are, start with #1 over again.
- Reach out to a trusted friend. Let your hair down, connect, get honest, know that human connection is so very important, especially now. If you don’t have anyone you can connect with, call me.
